Experience the Premiere of The Four Seasons by Maciej Kuźmiński in Kraków

On February 7, 2025, Cricoteka in Kraków will host the highly anticipated premiere of The Four Seasons, choreographed by Maciej Kuźmiński for the Central Europe Dance Theatre. This performance marks the launch of the latest edition of the Rollercoaster program, an annual dance series organized by Krakowski Teatr Tańca in collaboration with Cricoteka, which has been an integral part of the cultural landscape for the past eight years.

The Four Seasons draws inspiration from the rituals of Central and Eastern Europe, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens and set to the timeless music of Vivaldi. Each season presents a distinct atmosphere, brought to life through diverse movement languages and interconnected dramaturgy.

The performance begins with summer, offering a fresh perspective on Hungarian traditions and exploring the tension between the community and the individual. Autumn examines coexistence, permanence, and humanity’s relationship with time. Winter delves into themes of rebirth, introspection, and individuality, while Spring concludes with reflections on free will, hope, and renewal.

This new work offers a compelling dialogue between tradition and modernity, framed within the universal language of dance.
