Beyond Front@ – A Program Series That Connects
Connecting countries, people, dance, management, and lifelong experiences.
I am deeply grateful to have been part of several phases of this multifaceted, multi-year project.
My journey began as a university student with the two-week Life Long Learning Summer Academy program at the Central Europe Dance Theatre (Közép-Európa Táncszínház). It was an incredible two weeks! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team, as well as László Mádi, Dávid Dabóczi, Márton Csuzi, Réka Gyevnár, and Krisztián Ungi for the wonderful workshop experience and their immense support.
This was followed by the Behind the Curtain program in Budapest, held in November 2025. Beyond the project management-based organizational workshops, this experience brought unique new encounters and deep connections. I am truly delighted to have met such fantastic and vibrant personalities. Huge thanks to our instructors—Mirna Zagar, Michael Rogulski, and Anna Fazekas—for sharing their expertise, and to Andrea Medvegy and Virág Sóthy for the flawless organization.
As part of the Behind the Curtain program, I also had the opportunity to travel to the Zagreb Dance Week, organized by HIPP. Through a job-shadowing project, I spent ten unforgettable days in Zagreb. I was able to watch stunning performances by international artists, attend the evaluation meeting of the Beyond Front@ project as an observer, and dive into the video archives—where absolute treasures are preserved for future generations. Additionally, I was glad to assist with the on-site coordination of the event. Thank you Ivan Mrdjen, Kristina, Norma, Mirna Zagar, Ivan, Ignac.
Zagreb Dance Week also hosted the Dance Communication Lab, a one-day dance improvisation experiment with people who were complete strangers to one another. I learned truly inspiring new techniques—thank you, Petra! It was deeply uplifting to see how, guided by a strong structure, a 25-minute production could be created in such a short time with a group of entirely new people. Meeting so many magical dancers was an empowering experience.
Beyond Front@ – a place and an opportunity that is always on the move, reaching you anywhere; it connects, develops, builds, and creates a vibrant community and lasting experiences.
Thank you!
